A member of the Indestructible Handle series, the Estwing® 6 lb. Brass Head, 30" Length Indestructible Handle Sledge Hammer has its handle manufactured with the patented Indestructible® technology. This handle is made from 6 premium steel bars covered with vulcanized rubber, absorbing impact and vibration while protecting the user in the event of striking an electrical wire. The handle weighs more than the hammer head, allowing to apply double the torque on any struck surface. The brass hammer head has been drop forged and is utilized in Oil Rigs as well as the Automotive and Gas industries.
