The Sunex 5081B 8 Ton Heavy Duty Flat Bottom Ram is a long stroke, bottle jack used for farm applications, but, primarily, for IEM applications in manufacturing or engine cranes and handling equipment requiring long hydraulic stroke. It is designed with a ductile iron base for added strength, coated with electrostatic paint for rust prevention, and designed with larger ram diameters to withstand side loads. For your safety, the Sunex 5081B has a hydraulic bypass system prevents over extension of the ram. This model has a flat base, but it can be converted to a pivot base by using the model 5085 pivot base adaptor (sold separately).
