Product Q&A
Berko® Pump House Electric Utility Heater, 500W at 120V or 500W at 240V -

Install it anywhere heat is needed to prevent pipes, pumps, and other water, hydraulic fluid or oil-filled equipment from freezing. It is designed to provide automatic, 24-hour protection. Set the thermostat at any desired level and leave it. There are no moving parts. It is maintenance free and can be left unattended all winter long - ideal for remote location. Features a steel sheath, aluminum finned element provides fast heat dissipation and a long life because of cooler sheath temperatures. The heater cabinet encloses the element and consists of neutral grey epoxy painted galvanized steel for corrosion protection. Mounts horizontally. The thermostat is completely contained within the control box. Temperature control range is 40° to 70°F. One model is adaptable to 120V or 240/208V supply. Wired for 240/208V and easily field convertable to 120V. All power supply and control wiring terminates in the tamperproof control box - no live voltage in the element area. 500/376/500 Watts, 2.1 / 1.8 / 4.2 Amps.

Pump House Heater

Your review: The product arrived in only one day in good condition. I have installed it in my deep well pump house as last year the heat lamp was insufficient for the single digit temperatures. So far with temperatures in the lower 20's the pumphouse has not fallen below 42 as I have also installed a temperature probe to keep track. As of now I am totally satisfied with this product.

Pros: Compact design with built in thermostat. Simple installation. Good quality construction.

Cons: None to report at this time.

Good product

Your review: We installed in a closet with a hot water heater that is in a small room that has a door to the outside. Keeps all the pipes and valves at just the right temperature. It was just exactly what I needed.

Pros: Nice size for a small space. Very reliable and doesn't draw much power.

Cons: None.

Pump House Heater

Your review: Heater works as advertised. Having manual type thermostat vs digital is a good thing when a power outage occurs. When power is restored, the heater requires no resetting or programming. Actually purchased a second unit after seeing how well this heater performed. Global provided quick delivery service.
