At the absolute core of the Protekt® B-Scan 7000 replacement probe is an advanced 128-element acoustic sensor array. Unlike basic scanners that rely on single-element crystals, this 128-element system radically increases spatial resolution, allowing the probe to capture clinical-grade, highly precise definition of the bladder's thin walls. The array emits a stabilized diagnostic ultrasound frequency of 3.5 MHz, which is mathematically optimized by Proactive Medical to pierce through variable layers of subcutaneous fat while retaining a clear contrast boundary between surrounding soft tissue and the fluid inside the bladder.
Single-Motor Mechanical Sweeping & Depth Control. Housed inside the sealed, fluid-filled dome of the probe is a specialized single-motor mechanical drive system. When a clinician initiates a scan, this internal micro-actuator swiftly sweeps the 128-element sensor across a precise, multi-dimensional sector. This rapid movement enables the system to execute a full 3D bladder volume calculation in an ultra-fast 3 seconds.
