High humidity can create a breeding ground for mold and low humidity can create static electricity. The 445815 also displays the dew point reading which is a calculation of temperature and humidity and used to determine when condensation will occur. The humidity alert meter features a remote probe that can either clip onto the meter or extend on an 18 In. cable, where the user can take measurements behind walls, in ducts, or other areas that are difficult to access. It also features a large digit LCD screen, which allows for the simultaneous display of humidity, temperature and dew point.
