This LED binocular microscope kit for students is equipped with a 20X to 40X magnification stereo microscope, a 1000 Facts About Insects book by National Geographic and 9 pieces real 3D insect and arachnid specimens (3 land insects, 3 fly insects and 1 venomous insect and 2 venomous arachnids, a digital eyepiece camera and two pairs of stereo objective lenses mounted in a rotating nosecone, sturdy all-metal pillar stand, and a versatile illumination system that provides both incident (top) lighting and transmitted (bottom) lighting.

Two pairs of objective lenses provide 20X and 40X stereo magnification when used with the included 10X eyepieces. This microscope is useful for many applications. It can be used in geology, forestry, archaeology, agriculture, biology and is appropriate for educational purposes in hospitals and schools.

This kit includes a 96-page colorful 1000 Facts About Insects book by National Geographic Kids that is packed with amazing photographs and fascinating facts about insects that your kit didn't know! Great for helping your child to improve reading skills.

This kit includes 9 real 3D insect and arachnid specimens (butterfly, honeybee, fly, ladybug, beetle, grasshopper, wasp, scorpion, and spider) that are perfectly preserved in high quality resin for up close observation from any angles with stereo microscopes. Under a stereo microscope, you can see every little detail of the specimens. The colorful wings, the shiny shell, the joints, even the little hair on the legs will become so vivid!

The kit also comes with a digital eyepiece camera for your microscope. The eyepiece camera is lightweight and compact, making it a perfect companion to the microscope. The included Windows software offers image-development and measurement tools, as well as advanced compositing features such as image-stitching and extended-depth-of-focus. With the ability to calibrate scales at multiple magnifications, the software can be used for multi-level inspection. Independent preview and capture resolutions allow you to view high-speed video while simultaneously capturing high-definition images. For Mac and Linux, there is a lite version of the software which can capture video and still images, and includes limited processing features.
