Indexing plungers GN 617.1 with lock-out position are used for such applications where the plunger has to stay in its retracted position. To achieve this, the knob is rotated by 90 degrees after being retracted. The head of the plunger body is provided with a suitable notch in opposite positions so as to prevent the plunger from accidentally slipping back into its forward position. The maximum heat resistance of the nylon plastic hand knob is 110°C or 230°F. For indexing plungers with a fully threaded body, see GN 613. Indexing plungers with non lock-out position, see GN 617. And for indexing plungers without a threaded body, see GN 618.
