Your review: This is my wedding present for a young couple. I was very impressed with the overall size, weight, attachments and the ease of cleaning the dirt. Hoover has been my go-to brand for about 40 years.

Pros: Very easy to learn how to use the varied parts and storage is not a problem in their apartment. Picks up dirt on the hardwood floor and carpet without breaking sweat.

Cons: Not a one.

Hoover portapower vacuum

Your review: Excellent product. I have had two other Hoover Porta power vacuums for many years and they still work well.

Pros: Well versatile. Can carry this unit around the house and even to vacuum the car outside.

Cons: Cord is above average length (which is good). Cannot wrap around the handle without överflowing". Perhaps a bigger handle will be better or some type of clip on to store cord will work better.

Best small vac

Your review: We had this vacuum and ordered one for our son and my client. Excellent suction and nice selection of attachments. We did order the adapter and disposable bags to use in place of the cloth bag.

Pros: Nice long cord, great suction.

Cons: Sometimes the flap that holds the bag open while in use.

Easy to use

Your review: Very handy. I like the fact that I can put it over my shoulder, no heavy vacuum to balance on the stairs and lug around. Really like this product for floors, baseboards, stairs, ceiling fans, etc.

Pros: Lightweight, easy to maneuver. Two wands so you can reach everywhere. Attachments snap on securely. Nice long heavy-duty cord.

Cons: Not as good on carpet, but I have a larger vacuum for that.

Good/Efficient/Powerful

Great Vaccum

Your review: I had a friend that had one of these and decided to get one myself. It has great suction which is needed in my home with 5 dogs. A lot of attachments for every use you can think of.

Hoover PortaPower Vacuum

Your review: This vacuum is powerful for a small vacuum, lightweight too. It is perfect for our wood floors and has good suction power. I like the heavy duty cord that does not twist or curl after use. The rug attachment works well on some rugs, not so well on thicker high pile rugs. My first PortaPower vac lasted for more than 25 years and I was thrilled to find it in your list of products!

Pros: Light-weight, strap for cord storage, good suction, heavy duty cord.

Cons: Rug attachment doesn't work as well on high pile rugs.

Loving it

Your review: I'm 76 years old and have owned and done a lot of cleaning in my years. This portable unit is simple to use and has real good suction. I could not find any fault with the little Hoover, the Oreck will stay in the closet

Your review: Vacuum is great, service was great and easy. Arrived when promised. Couldn't have worked out better.

AT YOUR SERVICE CLEANING

Your review: I clean everything with this powerful dude! Cobwebs, furniture,curtains,mini blinds. I own a small cleaning service and could not WOULD NOT work without this vacuum.

Pros: the mightiest little vac EVER!! I have one I bought in 1972 and it still runs like the day I got it.I just ordered a new one because I want a fresh look. Mine looks tired but will keep it as long as it runs!I never had to take it for repairs... this little guy just don't wanna stop!

Cons: NONE!

Your review: This is my second Hoover Portapower. My fist one I purchased in 1972 with wedding gift money. I have always loved this little vacuum. Very powerful & well built. There have been a few changes from 1972, A longer cord, black/orange rather than white/orange, a shoulder strap and an option for an attachment for a paper bag.

Pros: Very powerful motor, easy to carry with shoulder strap, nice long cord, cloth bag & paper bag option, great attachments.

Cons: Actually liked the hose of 1972 better.

Hoover PortaPower

Your review: I absolutely LOVE my Hoover PortaPower. It replaced the Hoover canister that I'd had for 45 years. I didn't think I'd ever find anything I liked as well, but guess what! I like the PortaPower even better! This one is remarkably light and has a shoulder strap which makes it easy to carry to the dirt - and the 40 ft cord means I only have to plug it in once. I like it so much I bought a second one for my son and daughter in law, and from what I hear they love it as well.

Pros: Lightweight Long Cord Shoulder Strap Strong Suction Sturdy, Well Made Feel

Cons: I wish the extension would telescope (for storage) as my last one did.

Hoover Portapower

Your review: We purchased our first Hoover portapower approximately 30 years ago and it finally stopped working. I knew we wanted another one and Global Industrial had the best price and had great reviews so we purchased it.

Pros: Comparing our new portapower to our old, a lot of important features were upgraded. Love the metal extension wand, (old one was plastic and broke in several spots) the 30' cord is awesome and the wands are much nicer. attachments are much better quality. I really like the reusable bag although the paper disposable ones were cheap.

Cons: I'm used to dragging the vacuum behind me and the flexible tube doesn't always expand so the vacuum has hit my feet. The cord fastener broke the first time I tried to unsnap it but I called G.I. and a replacement is being sent so I am extremely thankful for the courteous service!

Handheld Vacuum

Your review: I've had one of these hoover handhelds for over 35 years and it still worked perfectly but different members of my family have borrowed it on numerous occasions over the years and over time basically destroyed it. As I said, it still ran fine but the hose was being held on with duct tape, they lost the extension arms and all but the crevice tool attachments so it was time. I loved the old one and knew it would hold up so I didn't really give any serious thought to buying another brand. I would recommend it to anyone. It's lightweight powerful and not having to unplug and replug it in every 10 feet while doing the carpets is nice. It's great for cleaning the carpeted stairs in my house. I expect that this one will outlast me since I won't be loaning this one out.

Pros: Powerful, lightweight, extra long cord, attachments for any application needed. Easy to clean.

Cons: None come to mind.

Worth the money paid

Your review: Bought this one to replace the portapower cleaner that I bought in 1986. Still works, but it's getting tired. Can't beat Hoover quality!

Pros: Easy to use, great suction, Easy to empty bag. Worth the money.When I had to replace the motor brushes in my other one, parts easy to get and install.

Cons: None that I can think of.

Great little vacuum

Your review: I was searching the net for a vacuum that fit my needs. I was thrilled to find a vacuum I already owned, an Oreck that is identical. I still use my vacuum in my garage because having owned it since the early eighties, it looks it's age. I needed a vacuum to clean my hardwood flooring that would scratch from dragging a canister or upright model. By hanging this vacuum on my shoulder, I can zip through my home in no time. Great unit.

Pros: More powerful than you would expect from a small lightweight unit., long cord, attachments and wands that click together, carry strap

Cons: In my case, one of the snaps on the cord strap was broken. I would have liked some sort of feet on the unit that would keep it in place when set down as well as not scratching vulnerable surfaces.
